Rafting Tours In Grand Canyon
Looking for a great activity that everyone can enjoy when visiting the Grand Canyon? Try a day trip to float the Colorado River. The float begins at the base of the dam and is 15.3 miles downstream from Lee Ferry history. Types of Smooth Travel with the flow
The basic version comes with a bus ride to the side. The road is full of scenic gems, from the desert of the Watchtower and Little Colorado at Navajo Bridge and the Painted Desert. The Deluxe version comes with an airplane flight and a jeep tour to Antelope Canyon fabulous.
Both packages need to run through the tunnel of the dam access 2-mile on the east side. Pontoon rafts are anchored to the bottom of the dam wall on foot over 700.
The Colorado River
Float takes on the incredible orange sandstone cliffs and rock formations. The penultimate highlight is when you navigate around the beautiful Horseshoe Bend. The terrain changes as we near Lee Ferry, also known as the gateway to the Grand Canyon. The ferry became obsolete in early 1900 with the construction of Navajo Bridge.
Ferry Lee
Glenn Lee Canyon Ferry, the water is smooth and refreshing. No sign of living water (aka speed). This change, after Lee Ferry, where the "real" river returns to its head of steam and breaks into the roaring waves of the agitated water.
Departure time
Tours are seasonal and run from March to November. Free shuttle service is available only for the packet bus. Bottom of the canyon is hotter at the top.
I suggest the following packages: sun block, hat, sunglasses, water, river sandals, sandwich, light long-sleeved shirt.
